i live outside of a little town, and it is, at first glance, quite cute.

it's only on the outisde though.

i really try to avoid the whole place if i can help it. i thought it was just me, but apparently, other people agree that the people here are a breed of their own. i've tried to credit it with the pesticide that they use on the grapes here. maybe it's the flouride in the water. maybe it's the in breeding that occurs. i don't really know.

the people here are kind of snobby, and outsiders who don't live there are tricked into thinking that it is a rich, exclusive little town.

the truth of it is, they're not and they just act like it.

of course, there is the proverbial rich uncle here and there, but generally, i don't even know where the hell these people work besides the bakery/factory, or welch's.

i think i told the story of this guy at my church trying to get me to sell amway. before he tried to trick me into this pyramid scheme, i was actually a little impressed by him. he drove a mercedes, and was always neat in his appearance.

i was impressed until i found out that his clan and him live in a trailer park. i thought that was pretty hilarious. shit, sell the trailer and live in the benz. there's probably more room.

a big shopping day out consists of "dollar general" and the over priced grocery store.

you can swim at the beach if you don't mind swimming in shit, i wound up with a horrible sinus infection because some hillbilly didn't throw enough clorox into the shit vat at the sewage treatment plant.

then, i took my kids to the beach, and the lifeguard there watched us swim for a while before telling us that the e. coli shit count was so high that they closed the beach for the day. thanks a lot, asshole.

i guess i could go on, but i'll save the good stories for a later post.
